She Likes the Noise?!? - Sid is settling in after the first two days of being at home. Other than the fact that she doesn't sleep as long during the night as during the day, all is well...okay sorta. We'll get to that part later. Because of her time in the NICU, she is used to constant noise and commotion. So she sleeps better during the day because we are around and about, on the phone, running errands, whatever. She actually likes the ambient noise!
Barfing Ninja - We can thank Nurse Amber for that nickname. Sid will just barf, puke, vomit, hurl, blow chunks, etc...whenever. It's like a game for us...we think we know the signs and we get the burp cloth or napkin ready. Then nothing...then we pull the napkin away...then BLAH! Addy does the same thing. Sometimes they puke a lot, sometimes they don't. You never know when they will STRIKE! Just get another napkin and outfit ready to change her. Sid puked up all her vitamins today. I had fun with that one...in disgust I just gave Sid to Jami and walked away. I love my kids!
Walker and Texas Ranger - Okay, so this really nice couple took over Sid's spot in the NICU (really the Step Down Unit). The little boy's sign says Walker. So of course the first thing that Jami and I start laughing about is the movie with Ricky Bobby (Will Ferrell)...um...Talledega Nights. Ricky Bobby's kids are Walker and Texas Ranger. Chuck Norris rocks! Well we can't stop laughing every time they call this cute little baby's name cause we immediately want to say "Texas Ranger" right after it. So we are retarded...sorry! Anyway, I wonder what people think when they hear Addison and Sidney? Sidney Bristow from Alias? Addison from Grey's Anatomy? Sydney, Australia? The Addison Exit off the Kennedy?
