Day Two...I'm Friggin' Tired

MTV Cribs with Addy & Sid

Okay well maybe not MTV Cribs, but here are the girls hangin' in the single crib that we have. Our second bedroom is pretty small, and there really isn't a place for another crib unless we get rid of the computer desk. SO...what to do? We'll keep them in the same crib for as long as we can, but both girls have the ability to wriggle, move, and "Houdini" their arms out of the sleep sacks. Eventually they'll be on top of each other which will be very unsafe. Actually once they are out of the sleep sacks and can really move around we'll have to get rid of ALL loose objects in the crib. I mean these girls can squirm and move, but they can't really roll over or anything. However, that shouldn't be too much longer.

Anyway, both the girls should be in magic acts, because they can get out of the straight jackets that we put them in. It's crazy...cause I velcro them down (or swaddle them using the Amber style of swaddling) and they always get an arm out. I feel bad making the swaddle so tight, but that is the only way to keep their arms in. They are mini-Houdinis!!! With their arms out they hit themselves and can wake themselves up.

Jami and I are both tired. The girls feed, then we hold them upright for 15-30 minutes, then they sleep for 2-3 hours...which isn't bad at all. It's just that we are on a constant 3 to 4 hour cycle. I'm sure all parents go through it, but Jami and I never get a break. We are both up every feeding. Fun times.

We are surviving, and we had visitors today. Check the pictures out on Picasa...

Both girls are barfing a bit less, or maybe Jami and I are handling them better. Either way, we are increasing their milk as needed and hopefully they continue growing. Addy had her first outpatient appointment and she is 5 lbs 15 ounces!
I'll try to blog more, but I also need to figure out what my
job situation is. Maybe I can start a "Father of Twins" donation fund?!?
The girls are crying now...gotta run.
