Some Good Things...

I know I was a bit of a whiney little baby the last post, so I'll share some of my private "good things" about the girls. I tend to focus on the funny, bad, angry moments. But there are many moments that make me love these little devil incarnates!

1) The Stretch - When the girls wake up, and we unwrap them from their swaddle...they stretch. I mean the arms automatically raise like the sun every morning. It is super cute because it is like I'm freeing them from shackles! In Korean it would be "Man Seh"...or lifting your arms up in honor.

2) Cheek to Cheek - Our girls have the fattest cheeks! So when I'm holding them, I love to go cheek to cheek with them! They hate it, especially when I don't shave. But I love it. It's like putting your face on the softest pillow.

3) Chubber Thighs - If you had a chance to see the girls in their first month of life, their legs were like little sticks. My buddy Woj said it the best and that they looked like Vienna Sausages. Well our girls now have the chubbiest thighs! I love them and it makes me feel like they are healthy!

4) Crazy Hair - I thought by now the girls would have lost that reddish blonde hair, but it is still there. Jami and I both love it and people who see the girls think it is so crazy.

5) The Stare - I guess Jami noticed this before me. But the girls tend to just stare at me. I guess it is my darker complexion and contrast of hair to skin. Jami will be holding one of the girls and she'll just stare at me for a few minutes, even when I'm tending to the other girl.

6) Sensitive Necks - Jami and I are both ticklish around the neck. So our girls are SUPER ticklish around the neck. Well that is if you can get to their neck around their big heads and fat rolls. Sometimes when I'm holding one of them and they fall asleep they move their head to one side. Almost like they are falling over, but it exposes their neck. So, I start tickling them in their sleep! They hate it SO much, but I can't stop.

These are some good things...one annoying thing. It is unbelievable how many people comment on the girls. There are SO many twins in this city it is crazy, but without fail we get many comments on the streets. I mean it is insane how much attention these two monkeys get. Jami and I like to just mind our own business, and I just despise talking to random people. But take a walk with this girls and just about everyone that passes by says something.

Johnny!
Liz Freedman and Shari Brummer and I were talking about you today, and we came in to check out your blog.

As Stephanie said, "Your little girls are adorable!!!"

I kept trying to read your posts, but Liz and Shari wanted to look at the pics.

I spent a good 20 minutes trying to find your email address, so I could send you a gossipy email about your old friends at CHOA. I'm pretty certain it wouldn't be appropriate to post that information here.

Michelle G had your phone number, so I'll probably call you today or tomorrow.

I hope you and Jami and the twins are doing well. I'm sure you're still not sleeping much--or at least the twin-experienced Liz suggested you probably weren't yet. I'll f/u with you later.

Wishing you the best and wishing you were still here, Jim Z!
